In the church world in which I've worked for many years, the season is about to change. Next Wednesday begins the liturgical season of Lent, when the church enters a time of preparation and repentance leading up to Easter. I remember in 2020 how some friends were saying it was "the Lentiest Lent" they'd ever Lented. That was still early days in the pandemic. 2021 felt much more "Lenty" to me, another full year into it, with so many more people affected, and the world still painfully waiting for vaccines to help turn the tide.
