Julie,

Thank you for these thoughts and words of hope. I am spending some time with them: and as I write I am trying to let my written words release my unspoken feelings and emotions centered around what and where ‘hope’ is for me. As tears of joy and sorrow escape my eyes as I read this, I am comforted and humbled by your prayers for us. Prayers and blessings upon you!

I will definitely spend some time with the prompt, “I am waiting for...” this week. Though I suspect my cynic mind will start with “....the other shoe to drop!” 😂 Thank you for grounding me in the season of waiting and anticipation with this prompt.

Yesterday I finished that prompt with "....doom." So, yeah. The good part is you get to start and finish it again!

I love the advent spiral. A lovely countdown and so much nicer than chocolate filled card (although chocolate is ok too!).

Chocolate countdowns are better than okay!

So many thoughts ignited by dark and light and grief and Advent candles in your prompt. Leonard Cohen's line, "There's a crack in everything; that's how the light gets in" sounds like farther-along hope too.

I love that quote, and how you share it with others in your workshops.
