I love peonies and would love to have some in my yard, but so far I don’t have the space. :(

The prompt I will likely be noodling on is “Listen, I want to tell you something!”

From the pictures you have shared it looks like your garden will have plenty of other beauties in it. Enjoy the writing….

I’m not a gardener at all, but I so enjoy this post—all of it, and what a treat the photos are. I will definitely ponder the prompts and I can see returning to the poem often. Thanks, Julie.

So much inspiration in this. I love it when "laziness" is rewarded! I also find myself often saying, "Listen. I want to tell you something..." to various family members - so that line of the poem definitely resonates with me. I might need to start my blog posts that way! ;)

That would be a great opening line!

Julie, I love this and can’t wait to do it. Thank you! I love sitting in my garden each day and sometimes I’m so moved, I just sit and take it all in. I also love, love peonies. They will divide so you can move some around if you want. The hydrangea looks healthy - I wouldn’t worry over it- you can look up when to trim and just do that this coming year but the leaves look great and not all hydrangeas even need to be trimmed. Lots of wild things do just fine on their own. 😊

Oh thank you, Mary! I will let the hydrangea keep on greening up. Love the last line of your comment. That’s a great prompt by itself.
