For all the heart soars and heart scars, my heart hears yours today and all this week. And I do love a good laundry or laundromat prompt. Movin' mercies (in addition to Anne Lamott's Traveling' ones).

I can't offer a laundry prompt without thinking of our group. And I am so grateful for you and for them. Thanks, Kay.

Just re-reading this one, Julie. It resonated with me, as so many do. My May anniversaries, marker dates, whatever we call them, felt harder than usual... even years later as you described. Our bodies truly know, even before we can recognize it fully. They seem to be out in front of things. I also loved the idea of "writing in place." There are places I often think about going to write, or past places to "revisit" for a writing session.... this post has me thinking. Thank you/ Hope to see you soon/ Take care -

Thanks, Betsy. Sending you peace as you continue to walk your own way with grief. Hope you get to write in place soon—let me know how it goes.

What a timely prompt, Julie. The 5 weeks my family was in limbo, doing the laundry and washing dishes were tasks that kept me steady amidst the uncertainty — they made me feel that I’ve accomplished something. The routine of it kept me focus at the moment. Sending you hugs as yiu prepare for your next move.
