Thanks for your thoughtful insight and this healing invitation. I’ll attempt a poem everyday.

A poem a day sounds both hard and healing, like so much of writing is. Enjoy!

Julie,

Yes indeed, with gratitude and some semblance of what my life and heart is trying to tolerate, I appreciate your tough, profound words. They remind me that regardless of what is happening around us and within our souls there is strength and courage in our words and our small actions.

Blessings!!

JoAnne

Ah, thank you, Julie, for this beautiful statement about the power of words to lift us up in the torrent of so many careless words intent on destroying us all.

I recently discovered Rosemerry, so what a wonderful surprise to see her quoted here! I've been given a writing prompt of "Small, Right Things" to write something for a fellow Substacker that we will together discuss on her podcast and I found it actually dovetailing what Rosemerry wrote. I'm thinking on it more, but between what you had to say and the line that Rosemerry was working off of - "We all have a part in shifting the story," I'm starting down a trail. So glad my friend shared your Substack with me! Thank you!
