Thank you, Julie, for these Ash Wednesday lingering bits of dust and larger pieces of life to pray for and about. My heart is filled with the ‘loss’ of my lost souls and hearts this Lent as I feel their dust on my forehead and wish them Peace.
I will lift you up in prayer as well as write this week.
Thank you also for your thoughtful words and questions about Ash Wednesday from 2003 - powerful!
Thank you, Julie. I wish you peace and a gentle creativity at the beach this week. I am very interested in your work writing about grief, the ashes, and more...from experience. I think about this season so very differently now, myself. Take care, friend... Still hoping to write again with you soon!
Prayers and peace for you this week, the peace that passes understanding. . .I reread the Ash Wednesday piece you wrote in 2003: https://fartheralongbook.com/2015/02/17/ash-wednesday-2003/ then thought again of stardust and scar tissue and dust and ashes and the love e that binds all of it.
Thank you, Julie, for this so-appropriate Ash Wednesday invitation. I will be holding you in my prayers this week, as well as your writing, the many people in your care who hold space in your ever-expanding heart. I will be writing on this prompt all week ~ and thank you. Peace on the beach.
Sending good thoughts for your writing work this week, Julie. Each post you send into the world adds value in my life...thank you, especially on this Ash Wednesday.
Thank you so much for this. I had no idea that I was lamenting so much in this season. And maybe carrying a bit from a previous season. This prompted me to release some of that after sitting with it and giving it the space it needed. Prayers on your important and holy work.
Good morning Julie. I loved this poem and plan to reread a few times today. You might like Sarah Bessey’s Lenten guide. 🥰
